Brunton’s Flip N’ Drip
This new brewer was just brought to my attention today - its called the Flip N' Drip and is made by Bruntons.
The Flip N' Drip
The brewing system being used here is simply that of a pour-over. Gravity pulls the nearly boiling water through the grounds and drips the brewed coffee into the cup. This is a fast and simple way to get a very good cup of coffee. On one of the review sites it mentioned the brewing time of 8-10 minutes. This seems a bit long for a pour over and could result in coffee that is over extracted.
In short I'm really looking forward to testing this brewer when I have the funds. It looks well made and sturdy (the rubber grip on the mug is a nice touch). In the meantime, I'm happy that to keep using a durable french press - perhaps the perfect coffee maker for camping!
Interesting to note that these Flip n Drip are now being introduced in many French campsites where they are called “Flip et goutte à goutte”
