Staying clean in camp, what's the deal?

I can't stand being dirty. Just before it gets dark, I heat up this huge coffee pot of water on the camp stove to boiling, and pour it into a bucket and mix it with cold water. I get a towel and a pair of flip flops and step behind a few trees and wash off. My biggest problem is gettin my hair clean; it's down past my shoulders. I keep myself in good shape: if you catch a sight of me washing, and want to stare, I figure that is your problem, not mine. I shave, and use clean clothes every day.

I have been with people who simply don't wash, change clothes, or shave the entire weekend. What the heck is the deal with that? Don't they know they smell terribly?

Being in the Army makes you enjoy being dirty?

How exactly does that work? Explain that to me. I will wait right here. I can't wait to hear your logic on that one. Let me get some popcorn and a drink. This should be good.

So you enjoyed being dirty in the Army and decided to make it a permanent part of your life? I didn't.

So you would be totally happy camping out with a bunch of homeless people; how dirty other people are does not concern you?

LOL, ok, I gotta jump in that one. Have you ever done bvwk? yeah if you were in, then you know what I mean. There you really don’t get to get clean. You just live with it, and being deployed several times, it was only the last two tours I got in a camp where we could actually depend on water. So, being dirty doesn’t bother me too much.

I thought you were out hunting hogs. Did you get one? How are you on the internet? Probably a portable stick huh? Not to far away from the city? Well, out where I hunt, we can’t even get cell phone service. Anyways,

Newell, good luck getting some pork. If you do get one, cook his ass up for dinner.

I’m not a big fan of being dirty, but I’m not obsessive about it either.

I have no problem going a couple of days without a shower, though I will want to wash my hands and face frequently.

The main difference between me and you is that you care too much about unnecessary things. I like staying clean, but I don’t make a big fuss about not being clean, and I don’t make a big deal about other people not being clean. The way people dress is their own choice; what does it matter to me if somebody doesn’t shower in 1 day or 3?

Can you imagine that some women do not shave their legs at all? And that is majority of women in the world, beside American women.
I don’t really care why or why not people do things. They do and it is fine with me, that is their own business. I just don’t care. They are not me and I am not them.
For outdoor shower room visit http://www.cabelas.com, I don’t think anyone will care… I know I would not.
I also think other hunter websites have similar or better stuff.

You do all this when it gets dark? Then you sit by the campfire & smell like smoke. Try doing it before you sleep.

And you claim to be prior military?

If you’ve got a problem with other guys not washing for a few days, then, stay out of their sleeping bags; and it shouldn’t be a problem. The other thing you can do is carry a large can of Lysol Disinfectant Spray, or Glade Air Freshener in your knapsack. Each evening when the guys get back to camp, make sure you give everyone a good blast. That should do it for ya!
